Get in touch
Send me the photo you'd like me to draw (via email or contact form) and tell me what size you had in mind for your custom pet portrait. You can also send several photos if you're unsure which one to choose, and we'll find the most suitable one together.

Pet portrait details
I'll get back to you within 24-48 hours to discuss all the details and maybe ask for further reference photos.
Also, I'd love to hear about your pet's unique character traits and habits to get to know them better and let this knowledge transmit into my artwork while I draw. Only this way, I can truly capture the character of your pet in your custom pet portrait.

Deposit payment
Once we agreed on all the details of your custom pet portrait, a non-refundable desposit of 50% of the total amount is due before I start the drawing.
The remaining 50% become due before shipping of the finished artwork.

Drawing process
Finally the fun part starts: I get to work on your drawing! I'll immerse myself into the drawing process while keeping you updated on the process, so you can start imagining it in your home.

Review and final payment
Once your pet portrait is finished and before shipping it, you'll receive detailled photographs of the artwork for you to approve.
If, for some reason, you should not be happy with your pet portrait, you're not obliged to complete the purchase by paying the remaining 50% of the price. In this case, the artwork stays with the artist who is free to sell it to someone else. Please note that the 50% deposit payment is non-refundable.

Shipping
Once you confirmed you're happy with the final artwork, I'll proceed with packing and shipping. Every artwork is packed safely and well-protected and shipped with a transport service of my trust. You'll receive a tracking code, so you can keep track of your artwork until you can finally hold it in your hands.

Paper
Your portrait will be hand-drawn on Canson Mi-Teintes® art paper. It is manufactured acid-free and offers excellent protection against ageing. Its colours are light-resistant and its high cotton content makes it both robust and flexible.
The paper's honeycomb grain easily retains the pastel pigments and contributes to the special character of your portrait.

Pastels, graphite & charcoal
The majority of your portrait will be drawn with black or white PanPastel - depending on your preferrence.
These professional artists’ quality soft pastel are loaded with the finest quality artists’ pigments for the most concentrated colors possible, and they have all been tested for lightfastness.
For the small details that bring the drawing to life, I use graphite, charcoal or pastel pencils.
